Zoe Jumper
My name is Zoe Jumper and I am a senior nursing student at
Regis University. I was drawn to nursing because it is a serving profession and
allows me the opportunity to meet people where they are at in their health
journey. I hope to practice as a nurse in a community health or public health
setting. I strive to serve marginalized communities and promote illness
prevention when access to healthcare is available. I applied to the Guatemalan
Interfaith Medical Service Trip because the goal is to build the capacity of
the community in Guatemala to take charge of their own healthcare clinic in the
future. I have a passion for health education and promotion of sustainable
healthcare within the context of the culture, thus this trip caught my
attention. I am privileged to take part in this project and happy to serve the
Guatemalan community.
