Ximena Gonzalez

Hi! I'm Ximena (he-men-ah). I am Mexican-American born and raised in Denver, CO. I am currently in my sophomore year at Regis University and am studying as a nursing major. As Regis was named one of the best schools for nursing, it only made sense that I chose to receive my education from here. I have a few past volunteer experiences that consisted of building connections with patients. These experiences helped me realize how important it was for me to be an advocate for those that are vulnerable. To me, human connection is more than just sticking a bandaid on someone. I want to one day be able to take care of individuals as a whole while playing a huge role in helping them maintain their health and happiness. 

Through the chaos of the pandemic, I want to be reminded of why I want to do what I want to do. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to help out a community that deserves more care and attention with a great group of fellow students. :)
