Sarah Sullivan
Hello! My name is Sarah Sullivan, and I am a fourth-year student finalizing a degree in Biochemistry. A few fun facts about me are I am a Colorado native, have three dogs (Bailey, Moxie, and Finn), and I play piano in my spare time! After graduation, I intend to apply to dental school to pursue my dream of becoming a general dentist. I am very passionate about raising awareness about the importance of oral health on overall health and wellbeing, and believe everyone should have access to excellent dental care. The Jesuit values instilled in me at Regis have inspired me to find joy and appreciation in acts of service and to truly see God in all things. I am honored to have been selected to attend this service trip and am blessed to have an opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture and develop a more profound understanding of the components of an efficient, supportive medical team. What I find most meaningful about the project is the ultimate goal of making a lasting impact, resulting in the clinic eventually being sustainable on its own. The opportunity to work with patients in Cobán and further advance the skills, experience, and creativity needed in caring for the whole person is an invaluable experience, and I cannot wait!
