Minh Thy Nguyen
My name is MinhThy and it is pronounced as minty. I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the US at the age of 6. Living in the US allowed me to interact and befriend people of diverse backgrounds, all of whom essentially made me the person that I am today! Though I call Colorado my home, the Jesuit education had brought my attention to Vietnam and other parts of the world where human dignity is at stake. As a psychology major, I joined the Guatemala medical service project to work with those of different professional backgrounds to provide care for the whole person, otherwise known as Cura Personalis. I have so much to learn from my team and the people of Guatemala, and I am excited to embark on this adventure!
In my free time, I love doing craft projects from cooking recipes of many cultures to jewelry making and crocheting. After graduation, I hope to continue living my Jesuit calling of being of service to others. My career goal is to eventually become a university professor where I can pass on valuable insights and support to aspiring change-makers.
