Katie De Leon

 

Hi, my name is Katie De Leon! I’m currently a junior at Regis University studyingBiology and conducting Neuroscience research. I’ve lived in Denver, Colorado for mostof my life. I hope to attend medical school in the future and further my understanding of life systems. I have had the opportunity to shadow at Denver Health, and I loved watching the process of both caring for and diagnosing patients. I especially enjoyed working with kids, who always seemed to have a silly and optimistic response. When I’m not studying, I love to make beaded jewelry and go ice skating. I’m excited to get some more hands-on experience in Guatemala, and better understand their interfaith perspective on healing. I also look forward to connecting with other motivated students on similar career paths.
