Axel Sostre

Born and raised in the culturally rich city of Waukegan, Illinois, I developed a deep appreciation for community and diversity from an early age. Growing up in the vibrant neighborhoods of Waukegan instilled within me a strong sense of empathy and a drive to make a positive impact in the lives of those around me. Currently, I am a sophomore at Regis University, exploring various academic interests but leaning towards a major in Neuroscience. Intrigued by human experience, I am drawn to assisting the community in Coban, Guatemala. Overall, my journey from the vibrant streets of Waukegan, Illinois, to Regis University has shaped my perspective and deepened my commitment to serving others. As for Hobbies, I am really into hiking, anything to do with Race cars, and exploring new opportunities. I also love going to the gym and traveling whenever I can. Hopefully one day I can travel and help thousands of people. I am excited to visit Guatemala as it would be my first South American country to visit and hope to make many memories.
